CBS (Community Bible Study)...

We have been going to CBS every Tuesday since September. It is almost over for summer break. Luke and Kendall have been in the homeschool class together. Their teachers were Mrs. Glenda and Mrs. Cindy. They have made some sweet friends in their class. Although they won't admit that they like going to CBS, I can tell they really do love their time there.

On March 22nd their class acted out the story of the 10 lepers for the moms and the younger classes. Kendall was the priest and Luke was one of the Lepers.

A few weeks before that (near Valentine's Day), L and K's class and also Will's class sang for the moms. Bo and Noah's didn't sing at time one, and we were absent the week that they did. Bummer! Here is Will waving at me. It's the only picture I got, but I got some video.
Will's teachers this year were Mrs. Lauren and Mrs. Audrey.
Bo and Noah's were Mrs. Ruth (all of the kids have had her at some point except for Will) and Mrs. Patty.

This is from today. We have one more week until it's over and the kids get to have a pizza party. This is the door we go through every week, with the kids wearing their 'Sunday' best.

Nature Class #1: Overview of Biomes...

We haven't taken classes at Latta Nature Center in a while, but it's nice to be back. Thanks to Christy F. and Ms. Gail we have 9 classes total that will take us into the summer for science. Yay!

Luke, Kendall, and Will were involved in the class while I managed Bo and Noah. They have a little coloring/puzzle/book center that they enjoyed...plus looking at the snakes and other animals.

I had to look up the word biome--"Scientists have developed the term Biome to describe areas on the earth with similar climate, plants, and animals."

The kids learned about the 8 different biomes today and what kinds of animals would live in each...

...and a few other things I'm sure while I was out of the room...

Then they had a 'fashion show' dressed in different things and the other kids had to guess which biome they would be from...

Luke was from the wetlands (??)..
Will the Ocean--he had a hard time walking in those flippers...

Kendall--the Mountian, or Polar Region...

Then they worked on their journals...

It's good to be back!

Goodnight Moon...

All five of the kids went to see this today. It was Bo and Noah's first play of the season! They did great and enjoyed it. The play was really cute and we all enjoyed it very much. It was our last one of the season to go see. :(
