Nature Class #3: Air/Layers of the Atmosphere...

Each kid drew something (Luke-space ship, Kendall-helicopter, Will-lightening, others-meteor, sun, airplane...) and placed it in the correct layer of the atmosphere...

Here are the layers (earth/ground is at the bottom, and all of these go out around the earth--spheres)...

Playing a game that involved bubbles and running (again, I can't remember all the details, but it was good)...

Nature Class #2: Energy and the Web of Life...

Our lesson was about energy, and how it all comes from the sun, which goes to plants, animals, water, etc. and how it's all connected. One can't do without the other.

This was our 'web of life' to see how everything is connected, and if one gets dropped, others get dropped one by one also.

Drawing their part (plant, animal, sun, water)...

They were giving up their 'chips' to another 'thing' if it required them to give up some energy...

Discovery Place...

We went to Discovery Place for the first time since they remodeled it this week. We had so much fun. There was so much new stuff to 'discover.'
