Operation: Candy...

I finally got on the ball yesterday and we boxed up our candy for Operation Donation and then we took it to the post office to mail today. 8 pounds and 6 ounces of candy. Gone. Yippee! We did keep some stuff too (mostly chocolate...but we did give some of that too). We had waaayyy too much...we had bought too much to give out and also the kids had just collected a lot.

L and K wrote letters to soldiers. That would be awesome if someone wrote them back. They got very much into it once we got started. Will drew a picture. In this picture he looks sad. He was, but not about giving the candy, but giving his picture. I don't think he thought it was good enough to send. Poor guy.

Here's Luke's letter...

And Kendall's...

Then we finally did some of those candy experiments. They were ok. Nothing to get too excited over.
My favorite one was this--if you soak M&M's in water (or Skittles would work too I think), the color dissolves but the white M floats to the top. It's because it is made of white edible ink. I don't know if you can see the M's floating in here or not...
