History, Week Five...

Our three topics this week were:
1. Abraham
2. Jacob and Esau
3. Joseph

Here's how the week went down:

"What Do You Know?" Pretest

Abraham
-read lesson
-sang "Father Abraham" song

Jacob and Esau
-read lesson
-made a family tree of the patriarchal fathers...from Abraham to the 12 tribes of Israel. The kids were surprised about how many ladies these men (Jacob) had children with! I learned a lot from this just seeing it organized in that way.

Joseph
-read lesson
-watched the Beginners Bible video "Joseph and His Brothers." They always get a kick out of those because they are a little young for them, but still good reminders of the stories.
-each of them drew an original picture of whatever they wanted to from this story. I figured it'd be fun with the coat of many colors and all.

Will's...

Kendall's (the brothers are saying "we are ol (all) mad")...

Luke's. Nice...

Memory Cards

"What Did You Learn?" Post test, which is accumulative and I'm impressed by what the kids are retaining.

Timeline "Wall of Fame"
Jacob and Esau...

Joseph on a pyramid to signify his relocation to Egypt...

What we have so far (Abraham and Issac are on there too this week)...

Maps with Dad (well, we are behind on this)

The End.
